This flower pattern tube embossing machine works as a combination of two elements: a forging hammer machine — what we call a "Shahmerdan" — paired with a shaped mold that presses a repeating decorative pattern into round pipe as the pneumatic hammer machine strikes it, one blow after another, essentially performing rotary swaging to reshape the pipe's surface into a fluted, knuckled profile rather than leaving it smooth. This particular round tube embossing machine setup has real family history behind it at Cengizler: our late uncle Ahmet Faruk Cengiz and my father Ferit Celal Cengiz saw a master craftsman in Konya producing fluted pipe by hand, and adapted the process onto a power hammer with custom molds so it could be reproduced mechanically and consistently rather than one piece at a time by hand.
Fluted pipe produced on this power hammer pipe embossing machine has real commercial applications beyond ornamental ironwork — it's also used in modern decorative pipe pole production for electrical poles, and its popularity tends to rise and fall in different countries over time. With a single unit, our workshop produces roughly 75 pieces of 6-meter fluted pipe per day, making this mechanical forging hammer setup a practical, low-complexity way to add decorative pipe production to a workshop's capabilities. 📞 Interested in a forging hammer and mold combo for pipe embossing?
