The power hammer machine is, to this day, the machine I've most enjoyed working on. Why, you might ask? Building one is a bit like building a car engine: production, casting, choosing the casting material, casting molds and cores, design, honing, reboring, gaskets, seals, piston rings, the lubrication system, surface heat treatment — every one of these processes, and the long, demanding follow-up they require, eventually produces a sound like a locomotive that's simply intoxicating to hear once the machine is running.

The inventor, working in the 1850s, was in my view a mechanical genius — a German inventor who built the first version of this design in Germany, and it still lights the way for every similar machine built anywhere in the world today. During our own design process, we studied every one of the best power hammers built anywhere in the world, brought together the best features of all of them, and folded in our own ideas on top — the result was a faster, stronger power hammer: more efficient and more solidly built.

🙏 A DEBT OF THANKS

Our thanks go to Ömer Gülüşen for his work on the casting molds and core system of our power hammer. To give just one example of the result: our model's hammer weight isn't 60 kg — it's 62 kg. Because of that, work that would take 4 strokes on another machine is completed in 2.
🌍 FIRST EXPORT: ROMANIA

With these standout features, capable of serving as a forging press in its own right, the first country abroad to choose our power hammer was Romania. Our thanks go to Mehmet Çetinkaya, who connected our overseas customer with our power hammer, and to our expert sales director.

Change the molds, and the machine seems to transform into something else entirely — that's the kind of capable, air-powered machine that belongs in every blacksmith's workshop, next to the forge and the anvil. Call us to get one for your own shop. This is our work.

Why We Built This Machine

Hello to all our friends and valued customers. As Cengizler Machine Company, the business I run day to day, I want to talk about the hammer machine we've started producing — and answer the question many of you ask: why this machine? Our company has been operating for 15 years, and in that time we've worked with wrought iron end-crushing, pointing, rolling, and similar processes, each requiring different molds — this machine brings all of that into a single channel. For that reason, it's come to be regarded in our field as something of a turning point.

Historically and scientifically, its roots go back to the 1880s, invented by a German inventor. Turkey's industry, unfortunately, hasn't always had the chance to develop its own inventions and inventors as much as it could have — and I take real pleasure in sharing what I've learned by drawing on outside expertise rather than working in isolation. My late uncle and our first founder, Ahmet Faruk Cengiz, along with Ferit Celal Cengiz, gave me the encouragement to believe I could build something better. That process took a full year: we combined the features of three different brands on the market into a single machine, with an ergonomic piston as its foundation, a sturdy gear mechanism, faster and stronger strikes, a quick response time, and the guarantee of stable operation for years of hot forging work.

I owe a debt of thanks to every customer who has taken delivery of our machine and tested it. My respect and warm regards go out to our customers in Spain, Romania, Azerbaijan, Russia, Lebanon, Yemen, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Canada, the UK, the USA, and Bulgaria.
